Water Sports - Get Active This Summer

When it comes to summer fun, you want to make sure that you are adding in some much-needed water sports. With the water sports, you will be sure to make sure that you are getting the fun, the exercise and the excitement that you want and need. Of course, there are plenty to pick from so you might find yourself having a little trouble picking the right one for your needs. For some people, there is no choice to make because they do everything they can to experience it all.

You could water ski or ride jet skis. You could go bouncing around in a tube or you could go sailing. There is plenty to do and of course, it is going to take some work on your part. This is where the exercise comes in. Do not make the mistake of assuming that just because you are not going to the gym that there is not a workout involved. You will find that after a long day on the water that you are a little worn out, and it won't be just because of the sun and heat.

Now, if you do not own any fancy equipment for the water, there is no need to panic. There are a lot of places that will rent jet skis and such. If you want to save money, start asking around as one of your friends and member of your family might have exactly what you are looking for.

Maybe you're lucky enough to have a friend that has a boat. If this is the case there are a lot of things you can do like, go fishing, water skiing, water tubing and just hanging out at the lake. If you look at any lake in the summer time you will see a lot of action on the lake. People just love being around the water.

If you ever have a chance to do some white water rafting you should give it a try. Talk about some exciting times and also having to maintain control and coordination while managing the river. This can be exhausting and a lot of fun!

It is important to make sure that you are doing your best to make sure that you are learning about all of the safety rules. Even the best swimmers can end up in terrible life threatening situations if they do not have knowledge of the water sport they are participating in.

Water Sports - Four Things You Should Know Before You Try Bodyboarding

So you've obtained a bodyboard and are ready to try some ocean sports. What should you think about to insure the safest and most fun surfing experience?

KNOW YOUR LIMITS

Because of the easy beginning learning curve you may be tempted to try swimming out in conditions that are beyond your control. Maybe the surf is too powerful or breaking too far from shore for your swimming experience. Maybe that particular beach has rocks or reef that may harm you if you make a mistake while learning. Become familiar with beach postings and talk to lifeguards if the beach or conditions are unfamiliar to you.

USE PROPER SWIM FINS

Fins are used by all but a select few bodyboarders. Relying on arm strength alone is not recommended. Since bodyboards are not as fast as surfboards you will expend much more energy to travel less distance using only your arms. With fins you can switch between arm paddling and leg kicking to avoid exhausting your muscle strength. It is also much easier to catch waves while kicking with fins since you can use your arms to help "push" your board forward and into the wave.

Use only fins designed for water sports like bodyboarding that take place in the surf zone. Diving fins are not designed for surfing activities. There are two problems with fins designed for diving: the length of the blade makes it difficult to generate speed fast enough to catch a moving wave and they may be torn off of your feet by the turbulence of the breaking waves.

UNDERSTAND THE MOTION IN THE OCEAN

Every beach has it's own distinct characteristics, though these may change with the surf conditions. Waves may break in specific locations or in specific directions. There may be currents could help you get out past the breaking waves or if you are not aware (or in conditions that exceed your limitations) sweep you away from the beach. Incorrect responses to ocean conditions may zap your energy or turn a manageable situation into one that requires rescue. Many beaches have piers or rock jetties that can either help shape the waves or present dangerous obstacles.

UNDERSTAND AND RESPECT THE RULES OF WAVE RIDING

Chances are you won't be alone in the ocean. There are "unwritten" rules of priority shared by both bodyboarding and surfing. Following these rules not only maintain a sense of harmony in these water sports, they also minimize the chance of injuring you and your fellow wave riders.

Now it's time to have some fun, so go catch some waves!

The waters surrounding the island allows for a broad range of water sports such as snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, deep sea fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, jet skiing, sub-water walk, motorboat journeys, parasailing and much more.

For those who are not comfortable to go to deep waters, snorkeling is ideal. Most of the snorkeling spots are close to the sea and some of the best ones are just within the rocky shorelines. Moreover, the water conditions are always excellent for sailing. Exploring the island on a sailing cruise aboard a yacht gives a unique charm and enchanting moment.

African Kenya Water Sports - 5 Most Popular Kenya Sports in Shimoni

Shimoni & Wasini Vacation Island

The village of Shimoni sits at the tip of a peninsula about 76km south of Likoni. Dhow trips to Wasini Island and Kisite Marine National Park have become a big industry here, and every morning in high season a convoy of coaches arrives carrying tourists from the resorts at Diani Beach. The trips are well run, but you can easily organise your own trip directly with the boat men.

It's worth waiting until the day trippers have gone home to explore Shimoni, as the dusty streets have their own unique atmosphere outside tourist times. Villagers have opened up the old slave caves as a tourist attraction with a custodian who'll take you around the dark caverns to illustrate this little-discussed part of east African history.

Actual evidence that slaves were kept here is a little thin, but as the pile of empty votive rose water bottles indicates, even today the site definitely has significance for more superstitious locals.

Wasini Island, too, becomes even more appealing in the peace of the evening. There are no roads or running water and the only electricity comes from generators. There are several worthwhile things to see, including some ancient Swahili ruins and the coral gardens, a bizarre landscape of exposed coral reefs with board walk for viewing. Most people come here on organised dhow trips from Diani.

Kisite Marine National Park

Just off the south coast of Wasini Island, this marine park is one of the best in Kenya, also incorporating the Mpunguti Marine national Reserve. The park covers 28 sq km of pristine coral reefs and offers excellent diving and snorkeling. You have a reasonable chance of seeing dolphins in the Shimoni channel, and the humpback whales are sometimes spotted between august and October.

There are various organised trips to the marine park but these tend to be outside ventures and don't always contribute a great deal to the local community. Its easy to organise your own boat trip with a local captain-the going rate is Kshs 1500 per person or 6,000 per boat including lunch and a walk in the coral gardens on Wasini Island.

Masks and snorkels can be hired for Kshs 200 (fins are discouraged as they may damage the coral reef).

A good place to start looking for a boat-man is at the office of KWS which is about 200m south of the main pier, where you'll also have to come to pay the entry fee. The best time to dive and snorkel is between October and March. Avoid diving in July and August because of rough seas and poor visibility.

5 Top Kenya Water Safari Sports and Activities

1. Snorkeling and Diving

Masks and snorkels are available for rent on the beach for Kshs 100. You'll need a boat to get out to the reef. Most trips to the park provide their own snorkeling gear. Certified divers can take dives with local tour companies, or more expensively at the coral reef Lodge or Pemba channel fishing club. Dive courses and longer scuba safaris are also possible in the Pemba channel.

2. Deep sea fishing

The Pemba channel is famous for deep-sea fishing, and Pemba channel fishing club holds over 50% of Kenya's marlin- fishing records. Boats cost from USD 500 for nine hours (valid for up to four fishers). This company promotes tag and release which I strongly encourage as an eco-friendly measure.

3. Diving Tours in Shimoni on Kenya coast

Various companies offer organised dhow tours for snorkeling, all leaving Shimoni by 9am. Transfers from North -and south- coast hotels are available. (US$10 TO 20), and longer trips with overnights stays can also be arranged. Children pay half the adult price. Certified divers can take one/two scuba dives for an extra US$30/50 with any of these companies.

4. Swimming with Dolphins in Kenya Coast

The friends of Kenya Dolphins have set up the Dolphin Dhow, a dolphin -spotting and snorkeling trip around Wasini Island. The dhow leaves from Shimoni jetty at 8.45am daily and costs US$75. The price includes snorkeling equipment, drinks, a Swahili seafood lunch and the marine park fees.

5. Kisite Dhow Tours

The Kisite dhow tours runs a popular eco-tourist snorkeling trips to the marine park, including a nature walk on Wasini and a very good seafood lunch at Charlie's claw's original Wasini Island restaurant. Trips cost US$ 55 from Shimoni jetty, or US$ 75 with breakfast, drinks and visits to the coral gardens and slave caves.

6. Pilli-Pipa

This is another expat-owned company offering full day trips. The price is US$80 from Shimoni, including lunch, park fees, snorkeling and drinks. Diving trips are available at US$ 130/$145 for one/two dives.

7. Paradise Divers

Based in Diani also offers similar trips for US$ 80.

Montreal Boat and Water Sports Show - Top 5 Most Frequently Asked Questions at This Year's Boat Show

The month of January is always the start of the Boat Show season across North America. To start off the boat show season, the 2011 Montreal Boat and Water Sports Show, happening January 27 - 31.

The show is located at the Place Bonaventure 800, De La Gaucheti?re West Metro Station: Bonaventure and Square-Victoria.

I recently caught up with Yves Paquette, General Manager of the Maritime Association of Quebec and I had an opportunity to ask a few questions about this year's show;

1. What would you say is a must "how-to seminar" to take in during this year's boat show?

Everyone can find a conference that meets his needs at the Boat and Water Sports Show. Though Louis Charbonneau's conference on Heavy Weather Sailing, as well as water skiing and wakeboard Canadian champion Guillaume Par?'s one on Boat Driving Tips for Water Sports are definite must-see during this year's event, one must notice the number of great seminars that are not "how-to seminars".

Speakers with various backgrounds will address the visitors on topics enjoyed by crowds sharing different interests. Adventure lovers will enjoy the tale of Justin Bulota and his Kite surfing Expedition Following the St-Lawrence Water Trail or Myl?ne Paquette's account of Rowing across the Atlantic 2, 700 Nautical Miles solo from Quebec to France. Sailing-maniacs will seek to hear more from well known George Leblanc, while fishermen from all arrays will benefits from celebrity fisherman Patrick Campeau's tips on How to Get the Most Out of Fishing Time.

2. What has always been or will be the "most popular exhibit"?

New trends and products is what catch the attention of visitors. This year we expect the Triumph indestructible boat, which can float on as few as 2 foot of water, to raise a lot of interest. The LTS electric motor should also be a big favorite. With its capacity of reaching up to 50 km an hour, it is an important breakthrough in terms of electrical propulsion. Another good example would be the HRV Liberty pontoon from Southland, which literally consists in a 3-seasons Boat House featuring notably solar panels and a wind turbine.

3. In your opinion the "number 1 attraction" of this year's show.

As mentioned, the force of the Boat and Water Sports Show lies in its great amount of new products on display:

From the luxurious Prestige yacht from Jeanneau, to the incredibly all-inclusive HRV Liberty pontoon from Southland, visitors will be thrilled by all the exhibitors.

If there had to be a Top 5 of all the attractions, it would be:

Jeanneau's Prestige yacht
HRV Liberty pontoon
The new LTS electric motor
The wide selection of trawlers, among which Cape Island, Mainship, etc.
All the new pontoons on the market which are getting more comfortable by the years.

4. Answer to your most "frequently asked question" about this year's show.

The question we answer every year is whether we will have big boats on site. Big boat lovers will be happy to know that such brands as Doral, Mainship, Bayliner and Catalina will be part of the show this year again.

5. What is "new" at this year's show?

The indestructible boat by Triumph will draw lots of attention, especially fisherman. The speed of the LTS electric motor will be popular. Boat Show attendees will be blown away when they see the Southland HRV Liberty Pontoon Boat- HRV stands for Hybrid Recreational Vessel. It is one cool looking pontoon boat.

Sounds like another great show this year Yves, thanks for sharing some time with us.

Jet Boarding - A Fun New Sport

Jet boarding is not particularly a new sport, but one that is just starting to gain a wider recognition. Power skiing as it is often called, is when you take a jet-enter out into the open water to play. It is a combination of waterskiing, snow boarding, wind surfing and surfing all in one amazingly fun sport. The jet-enter itself is a jet-powered surfboard that you stand on and it will propel you at speeds of up to 70km/h. It is one of those sports that is simple enough that even the novice can figure it out, but is challenging enough to keep a skilled jet-entered er entertained.

Jet boarding is a unique combination of surfing while attempting to steer a board that you stand on. Since it is jet powered, the likeliness of staying on the first few times you try, are unlikely, however, you do get the hang of it once you have given it a few goes. People that have tried it claim that the most fun thing about the sport is that you stand on a board and are jet propelled across the water by your own inertia on the water. Not only is it a lot of fun, but standing up is simple enough that anyone can eventually do it with some practice, and those that are seasoned riders still come back for more because it is so much fun.

Half the fun of jet boarding is falling off. Each time you get up again, you can try using it in a different way since it is comprised of so many different sports. There is no right or wrong way to jet-enter, which makes it half the fun. Because jet boarding is considered to be the water sport of the new millennium, there is not really a gaming sport about it. There are no competitions, it is not known worldwide like waterskiing or surfing, and there is not any way to set rules to playing such a game as jet boarding is so many various water sports combined.

The Jet Board has an easy to use control that is designed to help teach the ride balance and buoyancy so that staying afloat is not a problem. Learning to take turns at high speed and learning to do all sorts of neat tricks while jet boarding is what makes it such a fun challenge for seasoned water sport enthusiasts. Learning to take a turn at 70km/h while using your hand as a hydroplane with your feet firmly in front of you instead of underneath you is a fun challenge that any water sport enthusiast should try at least once. Other tricks that many seasoned jet boarders enjoy include nose riding, tandem riding, wave riding, and even wave sailing, which is the ultimate challenge for any jet boarder.

So far, there is a 100% stand up rate for first time riders. Although. Standing up the first time is the only things that jet boarding can claim 100%. As fun as this new water sport is, it is not as easy as you may think!

A Great Place For Your Favorite Water Sport - Hilton Head

Hilton Head Island isn't just about tennis and golf. Chances are, if you have a favorite water sport, the island not only offers it, but offers it in the unique and beautiful waters that can only be found here. For those who prefer a faster-paced, adrenaline-fueled water sport, the local scene offers waterskiing, jet skiing, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, and more. Of course, not everyone is looking for a rush, preferring instead to experience the island's beauty at a slower pace. For them, Hilton Head offers activities such as fishing and boating. Anyone wanting to experience their favorite water sport in a unique location should definitely check out what this island has to offer.

Probably the fastest-paced water sport Hilton Head has to offer is jet skiing, perfect for anyone seeking the ultimate adrenaline rush on the island's gorgeous waters. You feel the water and the wind rushing past you as you ride the motorized personal watercraft of your choice standing up. Another great option for those who prefer sitting down is a wave runner, which is identical except that the motorized personal watercraft comes equipped with a seat. If you don't have your own equipment for either water sport, the local community has several companies offering rentals on both types of personal watercraft.

In addition to personal watercrafts, the island offers many other boating experiences as well. If boating is your water sport, Hilton Head's rental companies offer a wide selection of sailboats, motorboats, kayaks, and more. If you are interested in fishing, you can rent that equipment as well or even hire a specialized fishing tour boat. Just make sure you get your fishing license first! Of course, if you want to experience the waves from behind a boat, water skiing equipment is also available.

If surfing is your preferred water sport, Hilton Head offers 12 miles of beaches with great surfing to be had on every single mile. If you would like to combine the thrill of surfing with sailing, windsurfing is a great option. Windsurfers still enjoy riding the waves like surfers, but their sails give them some control over their speed and direction. Of course, the true thrill of windsurfing comes when the wind picks up speed. Instead of just riding the waves, windsurfers who know what they're doing can use the wind to plane the surface of the water, achieving speeds normally only possible with a motor.

If you want to experience something truly unique to the area, you can take advantage of parasailing to get spectacular views of the island and its surroundings. Parasailing is similar to water skiing, except you use a parachute. The speed of the motorboat creates enough wind to life you and your parachute up into the air, allowing you to enjoy Hilton Head's natural beauty from above. While you can parasail almost anywhere there is water, nowhere else can you use it to view the island in all its glory. This is something that every water sport enthusiast visiting and resident to the island should experience.

African Safari Destination - Fishing and Water Sports, Lake Tanganyika, Zambia

Although Lake Tanganyika is of great importance to Zambia, only a small tip of the lake is actually within its borders. This small tip is enough to make it a Zambian adventure holiday destination built around fishing and water based activities. The lake serves a greater purpose too - it provides a real port to an otherwise landlocked country, providing a key link to Tanzania and Burundi. The result is that this part of Zambia has a very distinctive feel about it, a kind of tropical, exotic Central African feel if there is such a thing!

Geographically the lake is of great interest to scientists since it is the deepest of Central Africa's rift valley lakes with its deepest point about 1,470m. It is 34,000km2 with tropical surface waters with an average 26 degrees Celsius. The area of specific interest for researchers is the colder water far below the penetration of natural light and the even deeper water that is deprived of oxygen.

Fishing is the main activity to be found here - over 450 different species have been found in the lake! Lake Tanganyika is renowned for the sheer variety of fish that can be caught here. Anglers come here in search of the goliath tiger fish, nkupi and Nile perch and anglers will be glad to know that a single visit can result in catching a dozen different fish species. The best time to fish here is between November and March and people come to fish by rod and line with fly fishing becoming more popular. The annual fishing competition held in March is also a great attraction where you will be warmly welcomed.

Water based activities include snorkelling and diving due to the lakes large number of magnificently coloured fish found in quite shallow waters. Visibility is known to vary but it is known to be as good as 10-20m in some areas. A series of cliffs and drop offs between Sumbu and Mpulungu are well known by divers and prove very popular.

Part and parcel of water sports are the risks, many of which can be avoided. The Tanganyika water cobra which can grow up to 2m is venomous but non aggressive. Many visitors fear crocodiles and hippos but the rocky shores, clear water and lack of hiding cover discourage these from the lake although they are not unseen. They are more commonly encountered near the mouths of rivers and in the quieter parts of the Sumbu National Park. Crocodiles and hippos are known but localised. There is also the possibility of Bilharzia but there is much doubt about its existence here. Following such information some visitors may not step foot in the sparkling waters but exploration of authentic natural environments does not come with buttons to control it! The reality is people swim, fish and explore Lake Tanganyika on a daily basis and come to no harm. The trick is to ask your guides, lodge owners and the locals who know the area well.

There is a growing number of lake side lodges dotting the shoreline but what is attractive is that they still 'dot' the shoreline not take it over. Visits here are still very authentic, perfect for the traveller with an eye for the real thing and a mind for exploration. You will get comfort and luxury here but you can't control the nature that surrounds you and that is the beauty of it.

Understanding the Types of Water Sports Towables

Water Sports Towables are fast becoming the number one water activity for families and thrill seekers alike this season. With their ease of use, versatility, affordability and just plain fun factor there really is a tubing towable that is a perfect fit for just about anyone.

There is a seemingly endless array of awesome designs in colors and shapes of the water sports towables available on the market today. But, no matter how crazy the aesthetics of the water tubes, knowing what kind of ride you want to experience is really one of the more important factors in determining which type of water towable you choose for yourself and your family.

Here is a run down of the basic types of Water Sports Towables:

STANDARD/ROUND/DONUT TUBING TOWABLES: These are the traditional shaped towables that look like an inflated inner tube. They can be ridden by laying on top of the donut for a more exciting ride or by sitting in the hole for a more secure feeling. These standard watersports towables offer hand grips and can be ridden by one or several riders depending on the design and are usually the most economical of the tubing towables.

DECK TUBING TOWABLES: These towables are more flat and look like an inflated mattress. Perfect for the thrill seekers, on this tubing towable, the rider(s) lies on their stomach and holds on with their face very close to the water. This gives them the feeling of speed that they crave. Due to the flat shape of this water sports towable, it also tends to catch air more easily going over wakes and during quick turns making the ride more exciting and challenging.

RIDE-IN TUBING TOWABLES: These watersports towables can accommodate up to 4 riders at once which is great for a family or group of friends to enjoy together. In this configuration, the riders sit on the floor or "cockpit" of the tubing towable, much like in a small boat, and are surrounded by the sides of the towable. Often the floor is inflated also so the ride is quite comfortable and smooth. This is a perfect water sports towable for younger children or those adults who prefer a ride of comfort and security over thrills and spills.

RIDE-ON TUBING TOWABLES: These water sport towables are most often in an elongated shape-much like a torpedo or giant hot dog and can hold up to 6 riders at once. In this case, the riders sit on top of the water tube. Due to the high center of gravity, there tend to be a lot of rollovers and lots of laughs to go with it. These towables are great for large groups of all ages.

SPECIALTY TUBING TOWABLES: These water sports towables can include kites in which the riders are lifted into the air, towables that riders actually are completely inside of, water towables that spin or rock and many others. These require riders with more physical skill and a higher level of thrill seeking.

There are a tremendous variety of water tubes to choose from on the market today. Once you've decided on the type of ride you'd like to experience, you're sure to find the perfect Water Sports Towable for you this season.

At PlayfulInflatables.com you are sure to find the perfect Water Sports Towable among the large selection of fun and exciting designs.

They also carry other fun water related activities like Family Above Ground Swimming Pools, Kid's Inflatable Pools and

Swimming Pool Floats, Slides and Games.

Wakeboarding - An Awesome Water Sport

Wakeboarding is an adrenaline pumping water sport, which combines water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques. Wakeboarding involves riding a board on a surface of water, while being towed by a motorboat. The speed of the motorboat depends on many things, such as the rider's experience, the water conditions, the board size, etc.

The Board:

Boards for this sport are buoyant, and their core is usually made up of foam or honeycomb mixed with resin and coated with fiberglass. Also, metal screws are fitted in the board to enable riders to attach fins and bindings according to their preference. A rider may alter the fins according to his/her needs For instance; shallow fins are best suited for surface tricks. Manufacturers producing newer lines of boards are experimenting with the shape and material to reduce the drag and ensure a smooth wake boarding experience.

The Motorboat:

Although it is possible to use any motorboat that can achieve a minimum speed of about 18mph, it is advisable to use a motorboat especially constructed to meet the needs of wakeboarding. A major difference between a regular motorboat and a wakeboarding boat is the presence of the wakeboarding tower. The wakeboarding tower is normally constructed of thick-walled stainless steel or aluminum tubing.

There is a pull-point situated on the wake boarding tower, about 7feet from the water's surface. A high pull-point gives the rider more control and makes it easier for the rider to maneuver. Another unique feature of the wakeboard motorboat is that the engine is rotated 180 degrees and placed in the front of the boat. This enables better weight distribution and also ensures the rider's safety.

Basics of Boarding:

Before beginning their boarding experience, it is essential to have good quality equipment and an experienced driver. Nothing can ruin a boarding experience like an inexperienced driver! Once all the equipment is set, you must figure out which 'foot forward' you are. You must figure out with which foot forward are you most comfortable. The bindings also must be adjusted according to your height and your comfort level. The bindings must be well secured. Most boards come with pre-attached fins. You must make sure these fins are tightly secured. Long fins give a feeling of stability in the water. While shorter fins give a looser feeling and provides more freedom to maneuver in the water. Longer fins are recommended for beginners.

Wakeboarding Maneuvers:

Once the basics of wake boarding have been mastered, it is time to take your skill to the new level. Mastering these maneuvers requires patience and can be dangerous if proper safety measures are not in place. Thus, it is advisable to always have an experienced mentor and driver, and also always wear a life vest. Some of the most popular wake boarding maneuvers are:

o Fashion Air

o Surface 360

o Front roll

o Back roll

o Air Krypt

Five Steps to Losing Weight Doing the Sports Activities You Love

Like a lot of people I have a hard time working hard and staying consistent doing exercise I don't like and don't really want to do.

I know for myself that if I want to lose weight and keep it off while doing my water sports activities I have to follow all five steps below or I risk no results. If you love doing your sport why not also get some health benefits and feel really good about yourself.

Number one: Get very consistent at making time in your schedule daily or at least a few times weekly and get out and do it. With water sports it can require more effort and organization than say tennis or running, bicycling or other sports. Since most of us don't live right at the beach or have a swimming pool in our yard, we have get to the water. If the water is cold we have to get into a wetsuit and other gear to be safe and comfortable. All the action and effort of getting your self out and organizing your gear combines with your sport to help you to lose weight.

Number two: When you are out there enjoying your sport, work hard at it, set some goals and increase what you can do in the time you have so you are working as hard as you can. To lose weight with a sport you have to push and play all out as much as possible. If you are doing your sport with a buddy or a team leverage off of them by having friendly competition.

Number three: Be sure you have the right sports gear for your specific sport. It is a lot harder to play all out if the gear you have is inadequate and holding you back. You simply can't get the most push for your effort which will not translate to trimming weight.

Number four: You have to eat correctly, I used to play the game with myself that if I really played hard and put out a lot of energy then I could or deserved to eat the comfort foods like junk food, desert or just simply foods that I know will put weight on my body. I erased the weight loss benefit of performing my water sport to the max. I finally got the message that it's always the combination of the exercise and the right food choices that lose weight and keep it off.

Number five: Having fun while I lose and then control my weight is what I call a win win. Doing a water sport or any sport for that matter and also lose weight is in my opinion so much better that struggling doing something you don't like and would otherwise not do. So I have as much fun as possible, I just work hard and eat right and I know I can control my weight on a sustainable basis.

Following the five steps above as an approach to losing weight while playing or performing a sport will work with any sport as long as you are consistent and are willing to work and push toward your limits and always expand your goals.
